in 2021, the weill cornell pharmacology department needed to recruit its incoming doctoral class virtually due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. the challenge was real: how do you convey the culture, community, and collegial spirit of a phD program to prospective students who cannot experience the environment for themselves?

the answer was multimedia. working as a co-host of the virtual recruitment weekend, i developed video content that brought the program's personality to life on screen: through current students and their authentic stories to showcase a genuine sense of what it felt like to belong to this community. the agenda of the recruitment weekend Zoom sessions were designed not just to inform candidates, but to help them imagine themselves here.

the result? a 37% increase in cohort enrollment, producing the program's second-largest incoming doctoral class, and one hilarious The Office-themed montage.
